Dates of study for the Indigenous Foundations Training Program: September 19, 2022– December 5, 2022

Hours of study 9:30 am to 12:30pm Monday – Friday.

This 12week program provides students with two paths upon graduation:

● Preparation to pursue post-secondary education.

● Preparation to enter an employment area of interest discovered during the program.

“In addition to improving essential skills valued by employers, students will learn about and share Indigenous ways of knowing in an environment that fosters Indigenous worldview, creativity, language, self-reflection, and experiential learning. Where possible, Indigenous-based learning material will be presented first.

This course is intended to broaden the student’s awareness of Indigenous realities in Canada, including contemporary issues and Indigenous solution-building. Learning and sharing ways to incorporate traditional knowledge into everyday life and to decolonize the spaces we live in”.
